A standard ORP electrode used a different mechanical interface from the existing pool-control equipment. The required adapter was not available off the shelf. The goal was a custom mechanical interface so the standard probe could be fitted to the existing installation.
The target electrode, mating equipment interface, thread dimensions, photographs, measurements and operating requirements.
Match both thread interfaces, keep correct probe position, allow assembly without damaging the probe, and remain suitable for customer validation of sealing and chemical compatibility.
Both interfaces were measured and recreated in CAD. Geometry was designed around thread engagement, probe position and installation space. Manufacturing allowances were applied to the threads and a custom prototype was produced.
A custom adapter was manufactured to the agreed geometry and supplied for fit and application validation.
